Two weeks ago one hundred and thirty four people stopped by to check out Stevens Elementary in the West End. The empty building is owned by DC and Mayor Gray wants to find a developer to turn the site into something functional once again. He issued a solicitation for both a developer and an educational group, so the possibilities for what will eventually be built there are broader than usual. [WaPo; CityPaper(photo)]
