Tomorrow is the day! The team behind one of Brookland's newest revitalization projects will don the hard hats and dust of the ceremonial shovels to break ground on Monroe Street Market—a five block multi-phase project that will deliver approximately 720 units, 45 townhomes, 80,000 square feet of street-level retail, 15,000 square feet of artist studio space, a 3,000 square-foot community arts center, and 850 parking spaces. That doesn't include the streetscape improvements to the area. This $200M undertaking is a collaboration between the Pritzker Realty Group, Abdo Development, Catholic University, and The Bozzuto Group.
They haven't decided on all of the amenities, but a few of them will be onsite Zipcar stations, a fitness center, a pool with outdoor lounge and movie screen, and since one of Bozzuto's signature amenities are free cookies every afternoon, we can be sure those will be on the list too.
