History In The Making

Earlier this week the National Park Service announced that the home belonging to gay rights leader Frank Kameny will be listed in the National Register of Historic Places. His home at 5020 Cathedral Avenue NW was a meeting place for thousands of organizers over the years and will now be eligible for tax deductions and other protections under the law. Kameny died on Oct. 11 at the age of 86. [Blade]
