An Old Town, Alexandria Office Building To Become Condos

When the federal government moved to Fort Meade just under half of the building at 601 N. Fairfax St was left empty prompting the owner to try to sell. The buyers turned out to be EYA, the same team behind Chancellor's Row and the Mosaic District (amongst other places). They bought the building for $21M and plan to convert it into condos since it has a large floorplan and three of the four sides have a waterfront view.
