Welcome to Bar Crawl Living where we find some worthy domiciles within stumbling distance of a neighborhood hotspot. If there's a place you want us to scope out, leave a comment or send word to our tipline.
This week's BCL takes us across the river to get messy with oysters and beer. Hank's Oyster Bar in Old Town Alexandria also has territory in the District proper, but for those looking for the Colonial Williamsburg vibe without...well, schlepping to Billyburg, then this is the best bet. Located in a nabe that's truly a blast from the past, the Old Town housing stock is all about Federal and Colonial styles that really embrace antiquity. As a matter of fact, a few listings on this map come from the 1700s. So grab a brew, shuck some delicious oysters (careful with the blade), and take a walk down history's well-worn road. Cheers.
