The Rosedale Farmhouse is said to be the oldest house still standing inside the boundaries of DC since records show it was built in 1793 (but it comes with a stone cottage that dates to the 1730s). The home has been amazingly refurbished over the centuries and still stands as a luxury home that is worth it's multi-million dollar asking price. In its latest identity it was used as a meeting place for various non-profits and temporarily housed Elián Gonzalez before he left the US. After going on the market earlier this year for $5,300,000 it came down a few times in price to finally sell this month for $4,450,000.
